Clean Energy Investor Group strongly advocates for an efficient transition to a clean energy system from the perspective of the stakeholders who will provide the low-cost capital needed to achieve it. CEIG represents Australian and global renewable energy developers and investors with more than 11 GW of installed renewable energy capacity across more than 70 power stations and a combined portfolio value of around $24 billion.
We use our unique "voice of capital" for coordinated and targeted advocacy and market engagement in the best interests of institutional investors and the development of the Australian clean energy sector.
CEIG has identified a number of strategic initiatives to support its members. These include advocating for urgent reform to grid access and congestion management as well as the future of transmission planning and investment in the NEM.
As federal, state and territory governments consider the future design of the National Electricity Market, CEIG has developed the Clean Energy Investor Principles, supported by expert modelling from Rennie Partners, to show we can unlock the low-cost capital Australia needs to accelerate the clean energy transformation.
